What is leadership?

Leadership is both a research area, and a practical skill encompassing the ability of an individual, group or organization to “lead”, influence or guide other individuals, teams, or entire organizations.



The Board shall, in accordance with the bylaws have Board members elected by the shareholders at the annual general meeting (AGM).

Independent School Act § 5-1 gives representatives from specific stakeholders the right to attend, speak and have their statements recorded in the minutes of the Board meetings.

The following representative will attend Board meetings:

  1. Parent representative
  2. Student representative
  3. Teaching staff representative
  4. Non-teaching staff representative
  5. Representative from Sandnes Kommune

Representatives are elected for one year terms. The results of the elected representatives and their deputies shall be communicated to the Chair of the Board by the end of August each year.
