Up until today, 6 cases are confirmed positive for coronavirus in Norway.
The safety and security of the students and staff is our top priority. We continue to assess the situation regarding the Coronavirus on a daily basis. We will follow the directives from Norwegian Institute of Public Health(FHI) and County Governor/Fylkesmannen.
The risk at this stage is moderate. We will continue to operate the school as usual.
If the situation changes, we will inform you via email/Facebook/Website.
Here are the guidelines.
1. If any families or staff members have been to one of the places(China, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Iran, Japan, Italy: the regions of Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, and Piedmont) in the last 14 days, please let me know as soon as possible.
2. If any students have flu symptoms such as fever or cough but did not go to the places listed above, please stay at home for treatment.
3. Advice to prevent the infection.
Good hand hygiene is to wash hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and lukewarm water, particularly if/when you have been around other people. Alcohol-based hand disinfectant agents such as e.g. Antibac should be used if washing hands is not possible.
Good cough etiquette is to cough into a paper towel that is discarded immediately after use followed by washing hands, or coughing/sneezing into your elbow if you don’t have access to a paper towel.
Keep your distance (at least 1-2 metres) to persons with respiratory symptoms if possible.
Face masks not recommended. This is not recommended for healthy people. This does not apply if you work in the healthcare service or are in contact with a person with confirmed or suspected infection with COVID-19. They are often used incorrectly and people who use face masks tend to touch their face more often which can increase the risk of infection. People who are sick can use face masks to prevent infection to others.
