Christmas Message From Head of School

Dear SdIS community,

As Christmas holiday approaches, we can look back on a very busy semester at Sandnes International School.

We had a good start-up and established administrative systems to ensure the smooth daily operations. We introduced IB curriculum to the students with a balanced focus on each subject area. This Tuesday, St. Lucia Day, our 5 PYP 3-5 students visited a senior caring center in Sandnes. The seniors were in tears when our students talked and played games with them. This is a perfect example of students demonstrating the IB attributes, caring, open-minded, communicator and risk-taking.

To our teachers, thank you for your energy, passion and enthusiasm.  One of the critical factors of any successful school is the teachers.  It is teacher who has a impact on the student’s learning.

To parents, thank you for your support and trust you bestowed. A good home-school collaboration is always an important element in supporting student’s positive engagement in school.

To students, thanks for your hard work and all your energy brought to school. We feel happy and joyful to see you grow, learn and have fun.

In 2018, we will continue to refine our programmes to match students’ needs, help them achieve their goals and ensure that their experience at SdIS is both valuable and memorable.

I wish you and your families a relaxing and safe holiday and we look forward to working with you again in 2018.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Best Regards,

Yuwei Fei
